Cherry Tomato Tart recipe

Tart with cherry tomatoes and goat cheese is very bright not only the color but also the taste. The tart is easy to cook. It will decorate the lunch or dinner, or any holiday table indeed! An important condition – choose the best, ripe and tasty tomatoes.


• Butter – 125 g
• Flour – 250 g
• Cherry tomatoes – 400 g
• Goat cheese (hard) – 100 g
• Light rum – 30 ml
• Provencal herbs – 2 tsp.
• Salt – 3/4 tsp.


  • Chop the cold butter into small cubes. Put it into a bowl. Add the flour, salt and blend it. Add a couple of tablespoons of rum and ice water (50-80ml), just enough to make the dough.
  • Roll the dough into a ball. Do not knead the dough, it should keep oil lumps, which then give it a nice layering and crumbly.
  • Put the dough into a low baking dish and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Chop the tomatoes slices 3-4 mm thick.
  • Pierce the dough with a fork. Cover the baking dish with the dough with a baking paper roll to the top and spread any dry beans. Place in a preheated 180C oven for 10-12 minutes to make it a little grab. Remove the paper and beans after that.
  • Put the tomato overlap and salt a little.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, herbs, and bake in the oven for another 15 minutes.
  • It will be better to cool before serving.
